We present a new route to ergodicity breaking via Hilbert space fragmentation that displays an unprecedented level of robustness, being stable to all finite orders in perturbation theory.
Playing nonlocal quantum games with topologically ordered ground states using Quantinuum’s trapped-ion quantum processor.
Efficient preparation of many-body quantum states is an essential step in several quantum technologies. We introduce new techniques allowing for the constant-depth preparation of states that we prove were inaccessible using conventional methods. Our work therefore unlocks the efficient realization of new phases of matter in today’s quantum hardware.
